Damn, I just wrote this post once, but I guess my wordpress login expired. Grr, what a pain.

About a year ago, I embarked on a major project. No, I’m not declaring victory. I’m not completely sure, but I’m at least five pounds away, maybe more.

Last month, because I know how long it takes to get an appointment, I scheduled a visit with my doctor and… it’s tomorrow! He’s probably already seen my lab work, which I’m assuming is going to be very good numbers, but I can’t wait to see the look on his face.

But that’s just part of my day tomorrow. Here’s the other thing. I’m running the Boston Marathon. OK, not really. Not at all. But when the elite runners start at 10:00 a.m., I will start running on my treadmill. And I will keep running until the winner crosses the finish line some two hours plus later. The course record is 2:07. I’ll be running about a ten minute pace, and I kind of have thirteen miles in my head, so let’s just hope they don’t finish too too fast!

IF… if I don’t die, if I don’t get hurt, if if if. So wish me luck! I am going to try and set up a webcam and that will probably be a private post kind of thing, if I get it set up. But I’ll try and update you all at some point, which will be quite a challenge in itself!

Oh, and now that I’ve upgraded to WordPress 2.5 — which I’ve done six times now (and yes, I’m for hire) — I hate the UI changes they’ve made! Hate it hate it hate it!! But it’s much more secure, so that’s that.
