Ahem, let me put on my impressive radio voice…

OK, I’m putting away my impressive radio voice.

Yes, color me totally insane… I was at the mall today at lunchtime, getting a few more things for Wifey. It really wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. Maybe people are waiting until the last minute.

Parking wasn’t bad, though I have to say that I anticipated driving around for ages and just parked way far away and walked a bit. Oh yeah, even though I spent thirty minutes on a treadmill this morning, don’t even get me started on that.

Everybody at the mall seemed nice and friendly, not even all that frazzled for… What, six days until Christmas? Holy shit!! See what I mean?

Wifey was at a different mall yesterday with her mother and it was just the opposite — drivers running red lights (more than the usual) and cutting each other off (more than the usual)… nasty people in the stores, and nasty customers, too! We have a phrase for all of that: “Merry Fucking Christmas.”

But not today. The season is still nice and bright. Hard to get into a holiday mood with temps in the 40’s and 50’s, but hey, I ain’t complaining. Oh the weather outside’s delightful. Cold weather’s oh so frightful. La la la la la la. Please don’t snow, please don’t snow, please don’t snow. OK, I’m done singing. :)
