I love a parade

Well… not really!

But Junior is marching, so that’s why I’ll be camping out on the street and waiting for his band to march on by and play their patriotic tunes.

But it serves a purpose — no, not his grade in music class, but to remember.

To remember those that served, those that didn’t make it home, those not lucky enough to raise their own families, as my grandfathers both did when they returned from Europe and the Pacific.

Raised good families, they both did, to honor their country and cherish freedom and respect the law.

And to yearn for peace.
