MORE (or less)

“Leave them wanting more.” — wasn’t it P.T. Barnum who said that?

Well just in case you think I hate every movie I see, here’s a refreshing change. Wifey and I watched not one but two great movies this weekend. Walk The Line and Good Night and Good Luck have a great deal in common. They’re both excellent movies. They’re both somewhat biographical, although the latter is more about the issue than the man, I think. And both of them left us wanting more.

We wanted to know more about John and June’s life together. We wanted to know more about Ed and Fred’s future. And that’s OK.

On a separate but oddly related note, I’m testing a new feature of Auto-Linkies, which is intended to preserve bandwidth that has been going wasted on old Linkies. Huh? What that means if you are getting Linkies for free, only the newest will be displayed; the rest you just need to click and pop them up. Upgraded (paying) members won’t see any change at all.

As always I’m testing this new code out on my own blog before I loose it (like an arrow) on the rest of you. Feel free to link yourselves up and you *should* see how this new “feature” (hah!) is going to behave.

Update: Oh crap, since the system treats me as a paying customer (hey, why not?) it’s behaving the way it would for any Silver, Gold, Platinum member. But if I tell the system to treat me like a Standard member, the comment thing won’t work anymore. So the comments will disappear briefly. That’s normal. They’ll be back later.

Update 2: The comments are back, and I removed all of those linkies, cause I’m done testing them.
